New change - Eligibility for Final Year Bachelor's Students

Students pursuing a four-year Bachelor's degree program in their final semester can now apply for the UGC NET exam

New change - Subject Choice for PhD

Candidates with a four-year Bachelor's degree can appear for the UGC NET exam in a subject relevant to their desired PhD program, regardless of their Bachelor's discipline

Master's Degree is Mandatory

You must possess a Master's degree or an equivalent qualification from a UGC-recognized university to be eligible for UGC NET.

Final Year Students Can Apply

Students in the final year of their Master's program are eligible to apply, provided they complete their degree within two years of the exam date

Candidates from the general category need a minimum of 55% marks in their Master's degree examination

Age limit
